1. Introduction

SPLIIT Pro ("we", "our", or "the app") is a bill-splitting application that uses AI to scan receipts and help you divide expenses with friends.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Receipt Images

• When you scan a receipt, the image is sent to Google Gemini API for text extraction
• Images are processed and discarded at the end of each request
• Google may process images according to their own privacy policy

2.2 Local Data

Stored locally on your device:

• People names you add for bill splitting
• Scan history including item details and totals
• App preferences and settings

2.3 Analytics Data

We collect pseudonymous usage data through Firebase Analytics. An account identifier can connect app activity across sessions:

• Screen views and navigation patterns
• Feature usage statistics
• App performance metrics
• Device type and OS version

2.4 Optional Google Account Matching in the App

With your separate permission in the app and when advertising consent allows it, SPLIIT sends a SHA-256 hash of your verified account email to Google Analytics for advertising measurement and account matching. Google can match the hash with its account data; hashing does not make it anonymous. The request includes pseudonymous account and app-installation identifiers, but not saved participants' names or receipt contents.

Allow or decline in the app, and change your choice under Settings → Privacy Policy → Google account matching. Declining does not restrict bill splitting. Withdrawal stops future uploads; it does not automatically delete previously processed data. Contact [email protected] to request deletion. iOS tracking permission is also required. This marketing website does not collect visitor account emails.

2.5 Advertising Data

• AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data
• You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings

• Uninstall the app to remove all local data

8. Children's Privacy

SPLIIT Pro is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
