1. About SPLIIT

SPLIIT is a mobile application that helps you:

• Scan receipts using your camera or photo gallery
• Extract line items automatically using AI
• Assign items to people with drag-and-drop
• Calculate per-person totals and share summaries

2. How It Works

When you scan a receipt, the image is processed using Google's Gemini AI to extract text and identify line items. The extracted data is then displayed in the app for you to review and edit.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the app only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer or modify the app
• Not use the app to process fraudulent or illegal receipts
• Provide accurate information when required

4. Data Processing

• Receipt images are sent to Google Gemini API for text extraction
• Images are processed in real-time and permanently deleted afterwards
• People names and scan history are stored locally on your device

5. Free and Premium Features

The app is free to use with advertisements. You may upgrade to Pro to:

• Remove all advertisements
• Access unlimited scans
• Unlock premium features as they become available

6. Subscriptions

If you subscribe to SPLIIT Pro:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account
• Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings

7. Intellectual Property

SPLIIT and its contents, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the AI will always accurately extract receipt items. Always review the extracted data before finalizing your bill split.

9. Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the app.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
