A $60 dinner, with $10 already paid back

Alex, Noor and you each owe $20 for a $60 dinner. You paid the whole bill. The starting repayments are Alex → you $20 and Noor → you $20. When Alex sends $10, record a $10 partial repayment. The amounts still outstanding are Alex → you $10 and Noor → you $20. Your own $20 share is not a debt to yourself.

The check is simple: $10 received + $30 still owed + your $20 share = the original $60. This example uses an ungrouped bill with you as the sole payer, which is eligible for Debts. A bill inside a group is settled inside that group instead.
